CASA LUNA

A Sacred space for private ceremonies and intimate retreats in paradise

Scroll down for more information

Casa Luna is, quite literally, our dream come true. Nestled in the jungle just 12 minutes from the beaches of Sámara, Costa Rica, on 2 acres of land, with ocean views, a hand-built shala, a private waterfall 8 months out of the year, and an abundance of flora and fauna (I'm watching monkeys in the trees as I type these words)... this place is pure magic.

We left our life in Canada in 2021 to answer the call to become the stewards of this land, with our two magical little humans, Max and Charlie in tow. It has not always been easy, but it has certainly been worth it.

This home and this land were meant to be ours, but they were also meant to be shared. It is a powerful, sacred space, which has already been blessed with the presence of medicine people and gifted facilitators of the light, and has provided fertile ground for the healing and transformation of many.

We invite you to bring your light, your magic, your gifts, and we will provide the space. We hope to see you soon!

F.A.Q.

Where is Casa Luna located?

Casa Luna is located just outside of the town of Samara, in a small neighbourhood called Santo Domingo. There are no more than 50 houses in the area.

How private is the location?

The house sits on 2 acres of land, surrounded by a lush jungle. There are no direct views to or from any of the other neighbours. However, there are a couple of homes on the other side of the jungle, and while the setting is intimate and private, it’s important to keep that in mind especially with regards to noise levels during the night.

How close is the beach and town?

The beach and town of Samara is a 12-15min drive from the house.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

Yes, there are plenty of restaurants in Samara. However, note that there aren’t any near the house itself, and delivery from town is not possible here.

Is there parking on the premises?

Yes, we can fit 2-4 vehicles without issue, and more by coordinating with neighbours.

How far are off-site accommodations?

Off-site accommodations are varied. Our neighbours rent their home as well, and is a 1-min walk up the hill. They have 3 bedrooms available. There’s a little hotel within a 5-min walk in the neighbourhood, with 4 rooms available. Other accommodations need to be coordinated with other neighbours in Santo Domingo, or in the town of Samara.

Is food included?

Meals and snacks are included for the guests staying in the house, and charged as an extra for guests staying off-site who will be attending your retreat.

What type of retreats are permitted?

We allow almost all types of retreats to take place here, including plant medicine ceremonies. However, those must take place during the day, so as not to disturb the neighbours with loud noise or music at night.

Will we be alone in the house?

Our family (Daniel, Davina, Max, and Charlie) remain in the house during the retreat in order to prepare the meals, and help you keep the retreat running smoothly behind the scenes. We have our own “wing” in the house, and the kids go to school, so our presence will be felt only minimally.
